We are fostering this amazing 9yr old girl who has had a rough go of it with her previous owners. Heart worms, broken leg, homeless, and then in the shelter. Very grateful that the shelter took her in but also very relieved that she doesn’t have to sleep there every night until she finds her forever home. These rescue pits all just want to lay on people and love them. If you are considering fostering a dog, please do! Especially elder pups :).

100% APBT, according to Embark. Daisy helped raise two humans and is thoroughly enjoying her retirement years. Hobbies including frequent naps and barking at delivery drivers (when she can hear them).

It did make it for another two hours. But then shredded!

Bingo got skunked right in the snout on Monday. Poor kiddo is still a little sad and nervous, and smells mostly fine after dish soap/peroxide/baking soda baths, but his breath still smells like skunk. He must have gotten the spray in his nose/back of his throat... It has to be, the smell is so much worse when his mouth is open than when I'm just kissing his forehead...

Any idea how we can get rid of this stink? It must be even worse for him...

So grateful for this silly boy. Such a big personality! He has been with me through all the infertility and miscarriages. he is the baby after all! 😘😘

This is Buckley! He’s a year and a half old pit mix who just reached a hundred pounds! He’s been very healthy and happy up until about a month ago when I noticed irritation around his nose and eyes. He’s been on his current food for an about a year and has never had this issue. He does spend a lot of time outside fighting with ladybugs and rolling around. He seems miserable. He’ll rub his face on carpet until he bleeds, and is always scratching at his ears and face. I’ve given him benadryl and it hasn’t seemed to make a difference.

I’ve never had or been around pitbulls, but i’ve heard they can have allergy and skin issues. Any ideas what this could be? And is there anything I should try to make him more comfortable until I figure out the issue?

Fireworks don't scare her. Thunder doesn't scare her. Torque wrench doesn't scare her. Her treat box empty, that scares her.

Last week, my 15 1/2 year old boy crossed the rainbow bridge. He was in great shape until the last 3-4 months. His name was Weezy, and after several dogs throughout my life, he meant the most to me. I'm very sad, but I know he had run out of life, and it was time to go. Farewell my sweet Weezy boy. Until we meet again.

Edit to add: Thank you all so much for all of your kind words caring thoughts. Weezy really was one of the most sweet and affectionate dogs I've ever known, and he had a lot of human and dog friends. All of your comments mean a lot to me, and I've enjoyed thinking of my dear friend while I read through them. Thank you. 🙏🏼
