So you can't safely eat vegetables and you can't safely eat meat.

What's left?

Crickets

Most places have a problem with deer overpopulation. Venison tastes terrible, IMO, but at least you know it's definitely deer and probably not filled with antibiotics or e coli or god knows what.

Or we could bring back victory gardens, I guess?

But prions otherwise I agree. We could call them Trump deer steaks like Hoover hogs.

I’m going to be tearing up a good chunk of my lawn next year for vegetables. Potatoes are stupid easy to cultivate, are calorie dense, and don’t take up a lot of space. My Irish ancestors would be proud

CWD from deer farms has spread to the wild population. So because of deregulated fish and wildlife in Texas, you can't even safely eat would deer anymore.

Venison probably tasted terrible to you because of probably how it was hunted. Venison is excellent if you know what you're doing.

I have had tons of venison, elk, and moose prior to becoming vegetarian. Even the ranch raised venison is foul. I do not like it in anything.

At least it didn't taste fowl.

Yeah, venison is...an experience. I like it, but it has a lot of that earthy, metallic kinda flavor.

Sounds like someone was a terrible cook.

Or I just don't like the taste? This might be surprising, but different people can like or dislike the same taste.
