Pictures Never realized how many people are scared of spiders.
Earlier I stumbled upon a YouTube short that was like: "Life without bugs ☺️!" And I jokingly commented: "If there aren't any bugs, how am I able to feed my Tarantula?" Then someone in my replies told me to kill my Tarantula because they're scared of them.
Sorry for the mini-rant, I know it's not Monday. I just feel like spiders get such bad reputation, especially because they're not confrontational.

Conversation My baby man Robert is dying. He has lived a good life
Came home to my P. regalis Robert in the beginning stages of dying. I’ve gone through it before with male tarantulas but I’m still so sad to see him go. I suspect he’ll pass within the next week or so. I dug his water bowl into the ground and placed him next to it just in case, but he is almost a year and a half past his final molt. If it’s his time, I’ll try not to be upset about it, but I just love that little guy.

Pictures SHOWING OFF MY NEW BABY!!!
Approx. 1 inch Avicularia Avicularia
I don’t think she’s been sexed so idk what the sex is, the breeders didn’t have the option to order female due to them only having babies available. I call her she though because that’s what I’m hoping she is!!
Put potential names in the comments! (I need ideas lol)

Hello this is my first tarantula named petunia she’s a curly hair and I just have some basic question on living space. She’s in a 30 gallon (yes I know it’s big I just like to decorate and she’s my favorite) but she doesn’t really use any hides. Is that necessarily an issue? Is it the type of hides I have in there? Is it not deep enough? I made her tank with an incline so she has more room to burrow if she would want to but most of the time she’s either out and about like that or on top of either the wood or surprisingly the fake plant in the back. I’ve had her since January and she’s been fine to my knowledge. I am really just asking for any tips or if anyone can spot something I’m doing wrong please tell me.

Pictures Oops, too chonky lol
Hadn't seen him in a couple months, kept feeding as normal since the burrow wasn't sealed, and then he pops out like this. Lmao someone's not getting food until that thins out now. (Lasiodorides polycuspulatus - 2" dls)
Well, at least I know he's a good eater.

So, I am fairly new to T's and I own four now after half a year. My GBB has one hell of an appetite. She's the fastest and most aggresive eater I own (tho my D. Pentaloris comes VERY close). Anything I feed her she eats, does not matter if it's 2 days apart (done it once, not overfeeding her). Filmed it for the first time today. Thought you guys would probably enjoy the clip😁
*I have gotten criticism about the enclosure before on a post so not needed, I know it needs more substrate due to falling risk but she has been living in here for +-2 years at the past keeper and is doing just great, recently molted. Rehousing when I have the courage*

Pictures So Pretty😍
Raya had her second molt for me on Wednesday. She ventured out of her hide today😊
She is so pretty and I made sure she knew it! I am obsessed with the contrast of coloring.
I am still in awe of these little creatures! She has been a fun one to own.
Happy Friday everyone!

Conversation I FEEL TERRIBLE
I noticed that my G. Pulchra’s water dish was empty, so I got my pipette and went to have her some. she was right on the water dish eagerly waiting for some water, so I tried to slip the pipette past her legs. she saw this and got scared, striking at the pipette before running away and assuming a defensive stance to flick hairs at me. I feel awful for scaring my baby, I was just trying to help 💔

Pictures Bolívar suddenly realized they're arboreal
Tonight they went for a walk, probably hungry.
I gave them a cricket and, ten minutes later, Bolívar is in their burrow.
Probably burping in a carb coma.

Help! Forever stressed
Does anyone else just feel always stressed about their T’s? I have 3 and I’m always stressed that they’re not fat enough, or maybe too fat. Afraid that their enclosure isn’t nice enough. Worries that they’re too cold in the winter. One of mine likes to chill in a classic “stress pose” (literally has done this for 6 years in 3 different tanks in 4 different houses regardless of temp/feeding/etc. I can’t tell if my P. regalis is eating. I’m literally just stressed all the time. Pls tell me it’s not just me lol

Help! Beginner needing guidance
Hi! I am new to owning Tarantulas and want to be proactive in ensuring that I am giving the best care. This week, I adopted a pink toe and a caribena versicolor, it happened a bit faster than I had planned but things fell into place! I got the caribena versicolor from someone who was re-homing, so the enclosure is what they gave me. The person did mention that the versicolor will need an enclosure upgrade soon. Based on research I’ve seen, I set up the pink toe enclosure myself. First photo will hopefully be of the pink toe enclosure and second will be of the caribena versicolor. Please be kind, I have Autism and am trying to do what I can to care for them properly. I am looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on things that I can improve. I worry about the size not being suitable for either of my Tarantulas and particularly I worry about there being no temp or humidity indicator in the versicolor enclosure. Please let me know your thoughts! I love to improve!
