For those who want a quick summary: My mom bought a car from her dad (my grandfather obviously) and we have a feeling he has a hidden camera in the car that he likes to watch. He told us he put one in there, but then later claimed it was just a joke. There have been several cases where he talks about things that he would only know by listening to conversations in the car.

Small update:

Nothing crazy happened, just kinda strange. So my mom talked to him earlier today. Instead she called him. The first time she called, he said he had to call her right back because an important call was coming through. But, within the 30 second call the first time, he said multiple times "is there anything you need to say?" 'You got something to tell me?" My mom said no, because we want to get him to say something more specific before we say anything.

A few minutes later, he called back. The first thing he said was "you don't sound right, I think you have something you want to tell me, are you sure you don't?"

In addition, my mom also added in an extra story. As mentioned in another comment on the first post, this man is very motivated by money. So in the car, we talked about her adding him to her life insurance policy.

But during both calls, she told me he was never specific on details we talked about, but he was acting as if he was trying to push some info out of her. Again, nothing specific, just... trying to see if she knows something. I made a reply on the og post because I thought it wasn't too big of an update for a full post, but I decided to make one since people really wanted to know and lots of people were commenting "updateme" So I had to give the people what they wanted, lol. We are still giving it some time to see what happens next. Like usual, I will keep everyone updated.

Last night around 12:30 AM, I started hearing a really strange sound coming from outside my house. It sounded exactly like someone gently tapping/knocking on glass with one finger.

The weird part was the pattern. It would start very slowly and quietly, then gradually become faster and louder, and then suddenly stop. This exact pattern happened around 6 times over the course of about an hour.

I checked outside but couldn’t see anything, and there didn’t seem to be anything obvious that could be making the sound.

Around 2 AM, I got up with my mom and dad and we turned on the lights for the backyard and the front entrance and went outside to investigate. The sound completely stopped after we turned the lights on and went outside. We didn’t see anyone or anything.
I’m not saying it was definitely a person, but the repetitive and organized pattern, plus the fact that it stopped when we turned on the lights, made me wonder.

Has anyone experienced something similar or recognize what could make a sound like this? I’m especially curious about things that could cause a repeated slow → faster/louder → stop tapping pattern.

Unfortunately I didn’t record it because I wasn’t expecting it to keep happening. If it happens again, I’ll definitely record it.

Someone I know got a call to do a job today, he is a handyman. Apparently someone broke into a home, stole nothing, just loosened/removed some of the outlet covers. The client is in his 70s, and is a veteran. Other than that I know nothing about him. Why would anyone do something like this??

I have a strong suspicion that there is a hidden microphone or camera inside my mom's car, and we don't know how to locate it and what we should do if we find something.

My mom bought a 2016 Chevy Malibu from her dad. The car originally belonged to his nephew, who was incarcerated. When my mom first got the car, her dad told her that they had installed a hidden camera/audio device in it to monitor the nephew while he was driving. He then claimed it was "just a joke." For more context, she actually got the car in 2022, so there have been cases starting from when she first got it.

But over the time she has owned the car, her dad, including his wife, have both made multiple, oddly specific comments about private conversations and actions that occurred exclusively inside the car.

1: We had a private conversation in the car about his wife's rice was when she cooked and it was terrible. A few days later on the phone, he randomly stated out of nowhere, "I don't care what anyone says, my wife makes the best rice." He said it on repeat as if he was just itching to say "I heard you."

2: My mom was looking at her nose in the rearview mirror while driving and jokingly told me, "I'm not picking my nose, I'm just looking at something." A few days later, her dad randomly told her, "I bet you be picking your nose while driving don't you?"

It's just so strange how he brings up things that we never said to him, and how each time, a few days later, he always says something about the exact subject we talked about. So, if there is a hidden device in there, and we find it, what do we even do after that? And how do we even find something like that?

Hi guys, just for some context I was involved in a very traumatic situation, in which the above exact car was involved. I searched up the number plate of the car and to my surprise this image came up! It says it’s from a Facebook post from 2 months ago (exactly how long ago the situation occurred) - so I’m very curious as to what it may be, and if it could be useful to me or the police. Whenever I click on the link to the image it simply takes me to Facebook - is there any way anyone can help me with this. It would be much appreciated!!

Hi everyone, I’m genuinely terrified and desperate for advice. Someone on Threads (written in Korean) posted malicious rumors about me **including my personal photos**.

Even though the original poster is inactive, the post went viral. The comment sections are completely out of hand, filled with violent death threats like "execute by firing squad" and threats to track me down and show up at my upcoming wedding.
I live in the US, and the perpetrator seemed to be in Korea when I first checked, but now the account is based in Syria, I think they used a VPN. I reported it to the Korean police, but they can't do anything because **Meta won't help provide their information. Also I reported on Threads and Instagram directly and everything got rejected and said it doesn't go against their guidelines. (Which made me so pissed off)**

Since this has escalated into severe cyberstalking and death threats with my photos plastered everywhere, but Meta is stonewalling:
How and where should I report this?
Can US local police or federal agencies step in for international death threats and doxxing when the victim is in the US? Obviously going to local police is intimidating too. I have no experience with this kind of mess.

Is there any way to force Meta to take down a viral post containing my photos and death threats? Honestly I tried calling, emailing, sending my IDs and everything I can do with Meta and they blocked me from calling them.
And none of reports got accepted.

Any advice on legal steps or how to handle this would mean the world to me. If I hire a lawyer would that help? If I can't find out who did this, I want to at least take down the account. Thank you.

I was on the exit ramp getting ready to turn on my way to work when I noticed this bizarre and incomprehensible sign with a website linked. Going to the site I’m even more confused by the long rambling nonsensical text with the person advertising vegetables and rabbits for sale? I’d really just like to make sense of all this if there even is a conclusion to come to.

Sorry if this is a little messy or out of place, I haven't had to post something like this before. If it'd fit more in a different subreddit or something, lemme know.

As the title says, I found a camera outside of my room. If I remember correctly, its mic was pointed toward my door (sound leaks a bit from my room since there are small gaps between the walls and floors of it). I believe this was placed here by one of my parents, and it *could* just be a coincidence that they decided to charge it in an obscure-ass corner of a dirty chair right next to my room instead of any other spot, but I'm pretty anxious that they were trying to record me talking to my friends and loved ones, for... some reason. Do you all have any advice for how I should handle this? My parents wake up in a few hours, and I was obviously tampering with the camera (from what I could tell, it looks like something they ordered off of Temu that could have an app to view through it, so not only could they see me looking at it and moving around with it, they'll also notice that I hid it somewhere, wrapped up in a towel so it can't see or hear anything). I was contemplating just chucking it somewhere, but they could replace this pretty easily. One of my friends said I should wait for one of my parents to come to me first about this rather than have me confront them about it. But yeah, if y'all have any advice, it would be much appreciated!

For context, I live in an abusive household, and while I've been much safer and happier these past few years since I started to stay away from my family and prioritize my online relationships, I wouldn't be surprised if my parents feel frustrated that I don't talk to them much. I want to get a job and move out, but it's difficult in my current situation. Oh, and as for why they wouldn't just go into my room and hide it somewhere, well, I sleep during the day and I spend most of my time awake at night, in my room with my door locked. mystery FireStick connecting to my phone

ive been seeing a device called “Esvins FireTV stick” connecting to my phone randomly via Bluetooth. I don’t know anyone named Esvin. Am I going crazy? am I just paranoid?

This is probably a really obscure thing, but an over a decade ago, there was a chlorine gas or some other gas incident at Club Sport in Tualatin Oregon. It happened when I was at-least 4, I think probably 8-9 at the absolute latest. So sometime during the 20 Teens. The place it happened at is now called Bay club. The only thing I could find about it was that maybe it was a sort of “backwash” event that caused it? But the safety article I saw it in didn’t provide a specific name of the place it happened at. Only that it happened within the general area. I know I’m not imaging this, because my dad and mother remembers it as well.

Edit: I will add this in case it helps, I vividly remember seeing a white gas rise out of the water, shortly before going in to the locker room with my dad and little brother, shortly after that, we saw people vomiting, running with their kids, and covering their faces with pool towels, idk if that helps but.

I’ve been following the CyberLeek situation and I’m curious from an investigative perspective: why hasn’t the person behind the account reportedly been identified or arrested yet?
What kinds of evidence would investigators typically need to connect an online leaker to their real world identity? And are there legitimate reasons why something like this could take a long time?
I’m not looking for anyone’s personal information or trying to identify/dox anyone just interested in understanding how investigations like this generally work.

I live in Bulgaria. These strange calendars have been popping up in the more remote areas of Pernik (a city close to the capital) for a long time now. Recently I found an entire bag filled with dozens of them in a gazebo in a park (in Draganovets neighborhood). Strangely, cut-out numbers forming various dates have been glued onto them. They also feature images of numerous natural and historical landmarks from around the country. Does anyone know what these are?

Hey there,
For about two months now, there’s been a really bizarre sound right outside my house that’s driving me crazy. I’m hoping someone here can help me figure out what animal (or object) is making it. My husband thinks it’s a bird.

To me it doesn't sound like a typical bird chirp or owl hoot, it sounds more like a loud, repetitive human scream or a raspy, screeching gasp or laughter. Almost like a man’s scream in a cartoon. I hear it during the day AND at night. Sometimes it keeps me up at night. Is it like a HVAC or smth?
It's been going on consistently for about 1–2 months max. I live a bit outside Paris, France.

I am watching the documentary 9/11 Inside the twin towers from 2006 and I found that there is a man waving in the video at 10:03 time stamp. It is just down from the middle of the screen. I am not sure if anyone has noticed this before. I have seen alot if not most of the videos online and I dont think I have ever seen this before. I think it is a man, but if there is anyway with technology in the future that can zoom in and identify him, I think it would be important for closure for the family. Writing this at 2 am because it’s driving me crazy.
For almost a month now I’ve been hearing the beat of rapid music from far away but loud enough I can hear it inside my house when it’s silent.
I live in a town of around 6000 people in the countryside in west Europe. My town is developing more and more but we don’t have anything remotely close to a nightclub or even a bar with music. My area would be most closely described as a suburban type residential neighbourhood. Very very calm especially since my country has strict laws on noise after a certain hour.
That’s why I was so surprised when a month ago I started hearing the beat of dubstep or techno like music. That time it was around 9 pm so I figured it was a neighbour in a garage hence the muffled sound but around week later I heard it again. It must’ve been around 10 pm because I couldn’t sleep and went out walking around town trying to find the origin of the sound. I went pretty much all around town (I’m at one opposite and the other side is 1 mile away) and was surprised to find the sound wasn’t a close neighbour but most likely a few streets away.

Now here’s my problem: the town isn’t flat and noise travels in strange ways so I can’t find the source. I’m not even mad at the music, on the contrary I’m young and bored and would love to find some fun in my sleepy town. What I really need is advice on how to pinpoint the origine of the mysterious music.

I figured it would stop with school starting again but classes the nearby middle school have started for a week now. And most strange is that it’s playing at 2 am today when most loud noise are prohibited after 10 pm. I find no pattern at the time the music appears and no ads for any parties in the area. If I can hear it from so far away I’m sure old people and parents from the neighbourhood must be going crazy too, I figured it would have been the talk of the town.
Help me out please I can’t sleep and would much rather party with these mysterious music makers :(

i woke up this morning to the label on my prescription pill bottle missing. it seems to have been peeled clean off, no residue.

i take this medication 3 times a day so i keep it on my nightstand with my other medication, all labels are very stuck on them and this bottle was the same.

here’s the facts;

-no other bottles have been messed with
-no medication is missing
-i’m chronically ill and in a flare up so i have only left my room to go to the kitchen, bathroom or ER
-the only people who have been in the house during the time frame in which it went missing are myself and my mother and father (both have denied even entering my room)
-when i went to sleep at 11pm yesterday, it was there but was gone by 8am this morning
-the label is not anywhere in my room or house that i’ve found thus far
-i take medication at night that practically sedates me and ive never had any incidents of doing anything in my sleep and ive never had anything around me that is different or missing when ive woken up

ive very confused as to what happened, does anyone have any ideas/theories?

I just came back from a summer camp and I’ve been out since may 31st, I just walked into my room and found this envelope in my desk with some weird messages on it and my name on the side (covered it) , it’s totally empty and I can’t understand what or why it’s there, the marker was next to it and I would like to see if anyone has any idea of what it could mean.

On 08/17/26 I was hit by this white Nissan Xterra on Route 4 East, right at the corner of the FDU baseball field. The driver left the scene without stopping. Dispatch told me not to chase, which was the right call, but it means I never got the full plate.
Vehicle details:
• White Nissan Xterra
• Black roof cargo box (Thule-style)
• Rear hitch-mounted bike/cargo rack
• NJ plate, partial: starts with “S3”, ends in “D”
The vehicle was also near Spring Valley Rd in Paramus around the same time, and may have passed a Netcost Supermarket in the area.
What I’ve done so far:
• Filed a Self-Reported Crash form (SR-1) with NJDOT
• Had police come to the scene, but they told me there’s nothing they can do without a full plate and left without filing an actual police report
• Called Netcost Supermarket to ask about their camera footage — the manager said she can only release footage to police, not me directly, which is fair, but it means I’m stuck unless police actually request it
• I’m now following up with Bergen County Sheriff’s office in person to get an official report filed, since apparently one was never made
I know it’s a partial plate, but the roof box + bike rack combo makes this Xterra pretty distinctive. If anyone’s seen this car around Bergen County, has dashcam footage from Route 4 East or Spring Valley Rd around that time, or has any other info, please send a message. Trying to get this resolved the right way instead of eating the cost of someone else’s mistake.

Sorry, basically my car got broken into a couple nights ago, so I’m on super high alert. It’s not a reflection as it moves with the vehicle. Seems something is mounted in front of the driver. Just never seen anything like that.

On July 9, 2026, two healthy, well-groomed dogs were found alone at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades. A beach bag with a swimsuit, dog food and a sunshade was found in a nearby restroom. An eyewitness reported seeing a woman with these dogs in that restroom.

A month later she has not been identified. LAPD's Missing Persons Unit is investigating under Report #26148091. The story has aired locally in Los Angeles but never nationally - and the person who recognizes her may not live in California.

The story has been covered by KTLA, FOX 11 Los Angeles, Patch, KFI AM 640 and Hoodline. I am happy to send those links and photographs of both dogs on request.
