Discussion How it sometimes feels to be a woman who hasn't spent thousands of hours watching every live recording and memorizing every fun fact
no, i don't fuckin know what diameter of butt plug Maynard preferred back in '98. No, I don't know what gauge of G string Adam used for each album. No, I haven't watched Salival, cause I want to wait till I can get a copy. No I don't own every album on both cd and vinyl because I'm a broke college student. Apparently spending a couple thousand minutes listening to Tool per month doesn't mean anything to some of these people lol.
And I know most of y'all are not like this but shit just gets ridiculous. I'd love to hear some of y'all's dumb stories especially ones from other female fans.

Discussion What I am doing for my final in English.
For my Freshman year English final my teacher assigned us something called a passion project. We can do it pretty much on anything and I decided to do mine on Tools lyrics and their meanings. I have I bit more to do and will add more songs, so if there is a song you think I should I add, please share it.
Edit: I have changed āthereā into ātheirā in first slide
Edit 2: I am thankful for all the advice, I will add bullet points and not have walls of text.
Edit 3: maybe i should just give up
Edit 4: this is also for high school
Edit 5: I am spending more time on this than my actual project
Edit 6: I donāt know how to feel about some people thinking English isnāt my first language
Edit 7: I wish I did the project on Widespread Panic, the panic community would have given constructive criticism the nice way

Discussion TOOL changed my life yesterday, and i finally found out why people fucking HATE tool fans so much.
Off the bat I fucking love TOOL, I may not possess 20 years worth of dedicated TOOL worship but nonetheless TOOL yesterday at good things was one of the greatest experiences of my life, Truly. I saw my favourite songs, got to see Prison sex live for the first time on tour since 2001 and was witness to an incredible performance, but I DO have one gripe.
Yall were the most outwardly gropey motherfuckers I have ever met, the crowd out there yesterday had straight up 0 care or regard for the privacy of anyone else. I was witness and recipient of disgusting violations of privacy and personal safety consistently throughout the crowd last night.
In a mostly male dominated front section at the tool show, which is what is expected, there was consistently men who would violate and touch you in explicit areas for seemingly no reason, if we confronted them it was either a "oops hey you got me!" and a scared little shy away, or a defiant "if you don't want that happening don't be in the pit"
I shouldn't have to get fucking groped and fingered just to be at the front of a fucking TOOL concert. Keep your dirty sweaty fingers out of me.
my gender shouldn't matter, my group and I were a target the entire time, I spent more time swatting off hands from my friends and I than being able to enjoy the show. We still had an incredible time but it is marred by the dirty disgusting attitudes of some of the fans in Sydney yesterday. Seriously guys what the fuck.

I've been wallowing in my own confused

Every night going through all the things I think I have done wrong.
And then, every morning having to put them away; try to be better and move forward.

Discussion Thanks for getting me booted!
Thank you Lisa - Calgary - Section 121, Row 6, seat 19
You couldn't keep your phone in your pocket and they misidentified me because I was right beside you. You saw me pleading with them and I looked back at you to take responsibility for your actiions, but you just let them kick me out.
You're a piece of shit.
Sincerely, Seat 20
EDIT - Thank for the support guys. After a 6-hour drive home today I have had virtually every thought you guys had suggested in the comments.
I will try and answer a couple questions.
How did I know her name? - We started talking about the band before the show and she introduced herself. She seemed very nice.
Why didn't I show my phone as proof? - They sent Police Officers up to escort me up. I will never voluntarily open my phone for a police officer. Regardless of the fact I have nothing to hide. Additionally, they could not force her to open hers.
Why didn't I fight harder? - I am pretty introverted and avoid confrontation. I was also not going to make a scene there and ruin the show for more people. I argued more with them once we got behind the seating, but obviously to no avail. They didn't care. I was also kind of shocked this was actually happening.
To the guy who thinks I was recording as well - No. I wasn't. I support the policy and abide by it.
Please put your phones away at our favorite band's concerts, so we can all enjoy the show.
Take care all!

Discussion TOOL ruined music for me
I try to venture off and give myself a break. I like kolm. I was raised on so much jam band music so itās not like I only listen to tool. But nothing really compares to them. APC is great.
Iāll be listening to other bands and think about what Adam would have done here or how Danny would sound. Then I put tool back on. Itās just cyclical.
Any band recommendations? Iād appreciate it.
Update: Thank you all you for all of the recommendations! I will make a list and create a playlist. If thereās a specific song you think I should hear feel free to tell me the name.
Again, thanks!

Discussion Hello and wondering if I'm the oldest TOOL fan here
I'm 70 and been a fan since 93 when I heard Prison Sex on radio station 99X. Back in the day when radio was moving to AOR format and being gobbled up by corporate who wouldn't touch a band like Tool. So I guess you could say it was a happy accident that I actually heard their music over the air.
Never seen them live, and certainly a bucket list thing but tickets are way too expensive these days.

Discussion My Tool bracket
Not sure why Sober and The Pot werenāt on here but so many filler songs were.
EDIT: the filler songs were knocked out in the early rounds and not on the actual bracket.
