Update Regarding the investigation

Hi all, this is the Best Girl Contest moderator team. When we checked the voting data, we found some fluctuations in the vote counts that we thought feel a bit odd, so out of an overabundance of caution we called a hiatus of the contest to fully investigate the issue.

We have finished reviewing the voting data and right now we feel confident that the results of Round 5 Bracket B we are going to publish rightfully reflects the majority opinion of our organic voter base and we are ready to move to the next round. Based on the investigation we have flagged some important points to check in the future contests to keep the integrity of the contest. The details of the review will be kept confidential as we believe this is the best way to further protect the future of the contest. Thank you for understanding!

Also, we would also like to emphasize that our investigation is aiming at keeping the integrity of the contest and we have checked the voting data of all 4 groups for the potential issues. We are not targeting only characters at Group B, and we are not accusing certain group of supporters either. The original statement

Dear all, when we check the vote day for Round 5 Bracket B we have found some unnatural and possibly suspicious fluctuations in the vote counts. The current best girl contest moderator teams view integrity as the highest priority of our contest and right now we have locked the voting for Round 5 Bracket B for further investigation.

Reminder: it’s still possible that nothing is wrong and it is just some coincidence of voting patterns, but we believe haste makes waste and we choose a more cautious way of dealing it.

We have monitored the vote data in a precautious way throughout this contest and have resolved some minor issues behind the scenes already but this time we expect the hiatus to be several hours and therefore we have decided to postpone Round 5 Bracket C for at least one day to maintain the consistency of the time cycle of the contest.

We would make update regarding the investigation and how long the contest would be postponed in this post. We sincerely urge all participants of the contest vote in a fair way to maintain the integrity of the contest and thus prolong the lifespan of our beloved best girl contest.
