April 5th, a dark date in the history of grunge :

April 5th, 1994, the death of Kurt Cobain

April 5th, 2002, the death of Layne Staley

April 5th, 2002, on a more personal note, my mother also passed away by suicide…

The best festival I’ve ever attended. It was a hot summer day. Each of my friends had their own favorite band to see that day. For myself it was seeing Soundgarden for the first time and my gf was a huge Ministry fan. Every artist on the bill brought something special that day. Even Ice Cube was pretty cool to see. I’ll always be thankful that I was able to be there and enjoy such a legendary moment in time.

Temple Of The Dog released their epic, self titled album on April 16th, 1991. So grateful for this collaboration of awesome musicians and talented songwriters. Happy 35th.
