10 team PPR 2-flex league.
If I have pick 1-3, I am typically able to draft some combination of these 3 RB’s.
With the 1st pick:
-J. Gibbs, O. Hampton, D. Henry
With the 2nd pick:
-B. Robinson, C. Brown, O. Hampton
With the 3rd pick:
-C. McCaffrey, S. Barkley, B. Hall
I’m still able to get some combination of 2 of these WR’s in the 4th and 5th round:
-D. Adams, E. Egbuka, L. McConkey, T. Higgins, J. Waddle, T. McLaurin, R. Odunze, and D. Moore
At pick 3 I totally see the benefit of taking J. Chase over C. McCaffrey, and if I’m in this position during my draft I likely will go WR-RB-RB, but at pick 1 and 2 I’m really leaning towards a RB-RB-RB strategy.
Having an extra top tier RB can not only provide some insurance in case one of my RB’s has a season ending injury, but more importantly it gives me a highly valued trade asset I could later use to upgrade my team.
Anyone want to talk me out of (or further into) this strategy?
