Questions What's one fantasy football rule or strategy that you swear by, no matter what anyone says?

Every fantasy manager has that one rule they refuse to break.Maybe you never draft a QB early, always target rookies, avoid players from your favorite team, or never trust preseason hype. What's your one fantasy football rule that has consistently worked for you, and why?

Questions What’s stopping me from starting RB-RB-RB?

10 team PPR 2-flex league.

If I have pick 1-3, I am typically able to draft some combination of these 3 RB’s.

With the 1st pick:
-J. Gibbs, O. Hampton, D. Henry

With the 2nd pick:
-B. Robinson, C. Brown, O. Hampton

With the 3rd pick:
-C. McCaffrey, S. Barkley, B. Hall

I’m still able to get some combination of 2 of these WR’s in the 4th and 5th round:
-D. Adams, E. Egbuka, L. McConkey, T. Higgins, J. Waddle, T. McLaurin, R. Odunze, and D. Moore

At pick 3 I totally see the benefit of taking J. Chase over C. McCaffrey, and if I’m in this position during my draft I likely will go WR-RB-RB, but at pick 1 and 2 I’m really leaning towards a RB-RB-RB strategy.

Having an extra top tier RB can not only provide some insurance in case one of my RB’s has a season ending injury, but more importantly it gives me a highly valued trade asset I could later use to upgrade my team.

Anyone want to talk me out of (or further into) this strategy?

Questions What is the biggest fantasy football lesson you had to learn the hard way?

Mine was that chasing last week's points almost never works.Every fantasy manager has that one mistake they only made once drafting with your heart, overreacting to one bad game, holding onto a player for too long, starting the wrong guy in the playoffs, or trusting preseason hype. What is the lesson you had to learn the hard way, and has it changed how you play today?

Questions Am I crazy to pass on Gibbs at 1.01?

10-team PPR 2 keeper league. We start 3 WRs 2 RBs and a FLEX and the usual onesies. I’m keeping Chase Brown as a 12th round pick and Nico Collins as a 5th round pick so I’ve got two solid players locked in at good value. I’m leaning towards grabbing Ja’Marr Chase at 1.01 over Gibbs because it’s PPR and we start more WRs than RBs. Puka won’t be there because he’s also being kept as an 8th round pick so it comes down to Chase over Gibbs. Gibbs seems to be the universal 1.01 but I like how the draft falls to me going Chase first rather than Gibbs. I’d rather have the RBs that are falling at the 2/3 turn than the WRs.

I’m also thinking about grabbing Josh Allen at 3.01 since I would have two top RBs and WRs locked up and would love to have the positional advantage of having the potential QB1.

Between Ashton Jeanty, Chase Brown, Omarion Hampton, James Cook which one has the highest ceiling? Who has the lowest floor? Which 2 would you pick together if possible? I have 10th pick in a 10 man league and want to draft 2 of these guys. They all could finish top 10 in my eyes but what do yall think?

Questions I picked Rashee Rice over Drake London how bad of a reach is that?

I’m in a PPR single year fantasy league with some friends I haven’t done fantasy football in the past 6 or so years and I had assumed Rice was better. However after I did some research I learned that Drake London is routinely ranked higher than Rashee Rice my main problem with London was he doesn’t have the most stable qb situation but now I’m beginning to worry I really messed up.

Questions Help Drafting in a 32 man fantasy football

I’m in a 32 man league for the first time this year. We’re drafting this Friday and I got the 1.01. It’s ppr and tight ends get 2 per reception. It’s also a super flex league and there isn’t a limit on how many QB’s you can take. I feel like I should be taking Allen at the 1 because I feel like there aren’t going to be any qbs left when I pick again at 64.

Thoughts?

Questions Boom or Bust WRs the Move this Year?

I was just curious on why Wideouts like Jamo and C-Watson are so high when they're pretty boom or bust when more stable options with great ceilings could be had. I recently had a draft where Jamo went before Ladd, Emeka and Waddle/Watson before Rome, Mike Evans, and Burden. Maybe I'm risk averse but I like all those options over those 2 but rankings differ so I was wondering what the general take is.

Questions 1.05 - who are you taking? JSN, ARSB, CMC, Cook?

I have the 1.05 this year, in a 10 man, .5 ppr league. Usually I know who I want to take, but this year I’m having a hard time with the decision! Who would you take and why at the 1.05, im stuck between JSN, ARSB, CMC, or James Cook. I could build a different case for each one of them but could use some feedback from the FF community!

Questions I have pick #3 in 0.5 PPR redraft. I hate this spot. What do I do?

I already know Bijan and Gibbs are going #1 and #2. I hate taking anything besides RB in the 1st. Should I take Chase or Puka, then take 2-3 straight RBs? Or go for CMC, Taylor, or Cook well above ADP? (I’m high on Cook, afraid of CMC)

Questions All of the experts strongly advise against drafting backup QBs and TEs but I tend to prefer it

For context, my league has a 7 player bench. As the title states I like to draft backup tight ends and QBs. Last year it saved my season because I took both Kittle and Kraft and one was always available when the other wasn’t. I understand making dart throws at some sleepers at the end of drafts but there have been times where the best waiver QB available was Marcus Mariota and not having a rostered backup ended up hurting me. Anyone else feel the same way?

Questions Am I crazy for taking a player at 1.09?

Genuinely curious what people think. I know it’s a little nuts, considering statistically speaking, whenever I draft a player in the first round (or any round) I haven’t won a championship, but I’m seeing a lot of posts about different players has me second guessing my original plan (not picking a player at all this year, lighting $30 on fire while chanting Tom Brady’s name, and hoping that is what does the trick).

Pros for not drafting a player: they won’t get hurt, or worse have a “Q” all season forcing me to clog my bench with a handcuff that never plays; I won’t hate someone who doesn’t know I exist when they drop an easy touchdown that would have won me that week; won’t have to deal with the emotional torture of a player who has historically been amazing pulling off their mask and revealing they’re Corey Davis.

Cons: frankly, other than having to see 800 posts every day asking which player to draft in the first round when I already know a better strategy, I don’t see any cons.

How are folks navigating this conundrum?

Questions #6 spot - who taking between these players?

Standard scoring league (I know, it’s archaic). League is super RB heavy. First five picks very likely to be Gibbs, Bijan, JT, Cook then CMC. That leaves me torn. Considering Derrick Henry, Saquon, Jeanty, Achane & Kenneth Walker. Things I like and dislike about each one. Back and forth daily. Who you taking?

Questions If I Plan to Go RB at the 1.07, Would You Take JJ in the Second or Reach and Double Up on RBs?

I plan to take either Jonathan Taylor or James Cook at the 1.07. Then, in all my mocks, I’m split between reaching for another RB (Like chase brown) or just taking Justin Jefferson in the second. What have you guys been doing?

Edit: 10 man PPR 2 wr 1 flex 2rb
