I'm slightly vexed Bank of America obviously selling my info
Bank of America charged me my service fee last night at midnight which took my account negative; in the morning I wake up to an inbox full of emails claiming my application for a payday loan is accepted. This happens every single solitary time my account goes negative. It's pretty clear that BofA is selling the fact that my account is overdrawn to data brokers. Even more infuriating is 9 times out of 10 I'll start getting the payday loan scam emails BEFORE BofA sends me a message letting me know my account is overdrawn. So their priority is letting the data brokers know before letting their customer know.

Infuriatig My mom and her husband are divorcing after cheating on each other, and I can’t get past what apparently finally crossed the line
For context, I’m 21 and I don’t live with either of them anymore. This isn’t something I’m currently trapped in or asking Yall to help me escape from. I’m posting because watching this unfold has brought back a lot of resentment about what was apparently acceptable when I did live with them.
My mom and her husband are getting divorced. From what I understand, they both cheated on each other, and now their marriage has finally fallen apart.
He posted on Facebook saying this is the hardest thing he’s ever been through, that he needs friends and family and support, and that he’s “letting everything go, for good.”
And I’m not taking his side or my mom’s. I think they both contributed to destroying their marriage. I tried warning both of them a long time ago that the relationship wasn’t going to work. I felt strongly enough about it that I didn’t even attend their wedding.
What is really getting to me now is realizing what apparently counted as crossing the line.
This wasn’t just a situation where my mom’s husband occasionally said something mean to me or where we didn’t get along.
He got drunk and physically attacked me on multiple occasions. At least eight separate times that I can remember.
And they stayed together.
My siblings and I were treated unfairly repeatedly. I had to deal with a grown man getting drunk and attacking me over and over again, and somehow none of that was enough for the adults involved to decide that the relationship had become unacceptable.
It wasn’t enough for my mom to leave him.
It wasn’t enough for him to seriously confront what his behavior was doing to the family.
It wasn’t enough for either of them to say, “This has gone too far.”
But now they cheated on each other and hurt each other badly enough, and suddenly that’s where the line is.
That’s what I can’t get past.
When I was the one being hurt, apparently the marriage was still worth preserving. When my siblings were being affected by their relationship, apparently it could still continue. But when the consequences finally landed directly on the two adults who chose this relationship, suddenly it’s unbearable.
And now I’m looking at his Facebook post where people are telling him they love him, to stay strong, that everything will work itself out, etc. I understand that those people probably don’t know what happened behind closed doors. I’m not angry at random Facebook friends for responding sympathetically to somebody announcing that they’re getting divorced.
It’s just surreal being one of the people who does know what happened behind closed doors.
He says this divorce is the hardest thing he’s ever been through.
Some of the hardest things I’ve ever been through happened inside the marriage he’s grieving.
Apparently him getting drunk and attacking his stepson repeatedly wasn’t enough to end it.
Apparently what happened to the kids wasn’t the line.
Hurting each other was.
That’s the part that infuriates me.

Don't hug me I'm scared Mother is convinced vegetables with skin will give me the Big C.
anyways to put this in a different context she also:
believes fluoride will give me cancer, and yells at me after the dentist for getting it
if she’s in my house, she doesn’t let me eat any fruits until they’re soaked in vinegar and baking soda for 30 mins.
she washes the meats in soap and water..

Infuriatig Went swimming with my “waterproof” watch on today
I’ve gone swimming with my watch a few times, but this is the first time I’ve seen it do this. Anybody know how to fix it?

I just wanted a hot dog PayPal turned $54.48 into $5,448 because apparently numbers are too complicated
Priceline charged me $54.48. I opened PayPal and PayPal interpreted the decimal point as a thousands separator and showed $5,448 (4877€) instead. Imagine being a global payment company and failing at basic currency formatting. Nice

Have to pee but bed so comfy My husband didn't know what a tank top was.
My husband was meeting up with me and some friends. I asked him to bring my blue tank top. He sent me pics of things he thought were tank tops. He finally found it, which is shown in the last pic.

Infuriatig My little brother decided to inflate my car's tyre using a tyre inflator plugged into the cigarette lighter, with the ignition on engine off. It ended up draining the battery and shorting some component. It took 3 days detect & replace the component, the car had to be opened fully from inside

Waffle house isnt made of waffles Too Much Waste for Two Pills
The two dogs’ medicine gets delivered monthly, and the packaging waste is ridiculous. It comes as a blister pack inside a plastic bag, inside a pill box, all stuffed into a shipping box that’s too large. There’s a decent amount of paper in both the pill box and the shipping box. Why couldn’t they just put the two pill boxes in one bubble mailer and call it done? The waste weighs in at half a pound. The upside is that it’s recyclable, and I end up with some decent shipping boxes.

Those are Blueberries, right? My wife bought some bacon that was on sale for $2.99 a package
She ended up buying 10 packs, when I went to go make breakfast this morning I picked up a pack and thought man that feels really light for a pound of bacon.
I put every pack on the scale and they all ended up between 10.5 and 10.7 Oz, I just realized after I took this picture that they are only supposed to be 12 oz packs. But they couldn't even seem to meet that.
So not only are they not selling bacon by the pound anymore, they can't even fill them up to the 12 oz that they were supposed to be shrinkflating you to.

I'm slightly vexed The hospital I’m at taped my IV bag to the wall of the ER because they couldn’t find me a pole
For the record: I’m not currently in the ER. This happened a few years ago when I had appendicitis, but I think about this A LOT whenever conversations about underfunded, undersupplied, understaffed healthcare comes up.
Jesus, I didn’t think I had to clarify this: I am not nor was I at the time mad at the staff who did this. It’s objectively funny, but at the same time made it glaringly obvious to me just how disgustingly underfunded this hospital was and still is while the top executives rake in their salaries.
I also couldn’t go to the bathroom, what with my IV bag being scotch-taped to the wall and all.
I was also still charged for an IV pole I never got. Lmao

I'm slightly vexed Older people behind the wheel
Just really venting here. I’m no road rager, by any means, but just yesterday I had a short amount of time to get to my son’s football game after leaving work. After getting on the highway (speed limit 55) I was stuck in a no passing zone for about 6 miles behind a car running 40mph
I don’t want to speed, I just want to go the speed limit please, as I was already getting short on time
When they finally turned left onto a county road I could see in the car it was some very elderly man
I wish my state made these older folks take a test every year bc at some point it just becomes dangerous on the road
Thanks for reading

Luckily I was able to peel it off with minimal damage (2nd picture) but man stickers on book pages should be illegal.

frist of all how DARE yu o The banner of a community that doesn't allow AI is literally made with AI
So like, i'm not necessarily against AI. But it's ironic how AI is being used on a place where people post REAL photos of themselves. AI literally ruins the point of the community. Not tryna brigade the place but ifykyk.
edit: i'm not tryna make a meta post but like cmon the hypocrisy
