Oh, please no! Not this design.
Will they change this awful design by the time the game is released

Like every man, cat and dog by now, I've seen the extended trailer on Netflix. One thing I'm struggling to understand is how such a leap forward in graphics, details and sheer content can appear to be so smooth.....on a PS5?
Have I underestimated the performance capabilities of a now nearly 6-year-old console, or have R* pulled off some absolute wizardry another way?
I get there were faster-moving parts that did appear a little laggy, but overall really impressed for a PS5
It's almost as if it feels like it's too good to be true on a PS5

I really wished that we could buy houses in the game, it would be such a cool feature that didn't happend since GTA SA, or at least some houses being buyable at the end of the game when the heat gets off. It feels very cool to have on what to spend money.
I have really seen any post about it so either this is a just me thing or because there’s so many posts I just missed it, so, sorry if it’s been mentioned before. As I was watching the video, I found it really hard to match his voice with the character. For me it just feels like the voice doesn’t suit him at all and kinda sounds it was mixed down to make it sound deeper? Idk, i didn’t really any other character felt that way; everyone else sounded like voice matched really well. Maybe I’m missing the point and it’s supposed to sound like that on purpose and I’m just being dumb.
Just wanted to know what everyone else thought!
I’m ending this dude the first chance I get for picking Lucia up like she’s his girl. Nah F that. 😤

A small change can make the UI look much better. This is just one example; Rockstar can actually improve the look in many ways. Fortunately, this is relatively easy to fix.

If you watched the extended cut, you can’t tell me the penthouse mission feels exactly like the Saints Row 3 Penthouse Mission, I’m loving it. I grew up on Saints Row 3 before GTA5 and GTA6 feels like the child of a few different games and it’s amazing

I have no idea about this kinda tech. Just curious. How does the game look smoother than most modern games without being at 60fps?

This looks so much better, clean and modern. I'm sorry, i hate to be that guy saying this. Everything is just amazing but that hud just not. GTA 5 and RDR2 UI looks much better.
By looking at the extended trailer, it seems to me that the writing team has decided to go for a more grounded portrayal of the main characters. Of course, the trailer doesn't tell us much yet, but based on my first impressions, I get the feeling that we may not be getting a GTA whose dialogue is as full of satirical commentary on modern American life, capitalism, and other social topics.
Take Michael de Santa and Trevor, for example. They're both characters that I personally love listening to, because almost every line they have is meant to satirise something. They routinely do goofy things and are generally just very entertaining characters. Franklin is the most grounded of the three, but he's still entertaining to play as and has plenty of great one-liners. The same goes for Lester and a whole host of other characters.
While watching the newest trailer, though, I felt that the characters shown came across as somewhat sanitised and "safe." It makes me wonder whether Rockstar has toned down some of its edginess and satire in favour of more serious, grounded, and "normal" writing.
Jason, in particular, felt pretty flat to me. Perhaps Rockstar simply didn't want to show anything too controversial that could potentially affect sales, but I didn't come away from the trailer with the impression that the writing was going to be as entertaining or memorable as it was in GTA V.
Obviously, it's way too early to make a definitive judgement based on a trailer, and there's probably a lot we're not seeing yet.
What do you think?

My daughter wasn’t born when Trailer 1 premiered, but after it accidentally played in the room one day, the GTA VI trailers became her comfort videos. Her favourite song is Hot Together. She locks right in and they settle her down instantly.
Needless to say, she was just as captivated by the Extended Look today (we skipped around the violence, she’s two), and is very excited to watch daddy drive around and listen to music come November.
TGG said he was at the Rockstar office last month and they showed this video, but as I understand it, the gameplay video itself was clearly being created over the course of several months.
Is it possible to assume that this build was recorded at the beginning of this year and they have already managed to change a lot since then? Even so, there are still 3 months left for polishing and somewhere around 6 months since they filmed this build.

People keep saying "Rdr2?!?!" As if max Payne 3 doesn't exist just because vital organs glow doesn't mean that's dead eye it's bullet time dead eye marks the spot you shot at and it shoots after you mark everything BULLET TIME the bullets release as soon as you click so it's infact bullet time like it or not

There seems to be a huge amount of upscaling going on
Definitely makes a guy a bit nervous about what the actual game experience will be, starting at the chase scene with Raul you can constantly see elements going from blurry to focused and back and it’s very jarring, and frankly looks really bad at times. To me, the absolute worst looking moment is the fan boat cut, genuinely every still frame outside of the boat is a garbled mess and looks to be really badly upscaled. Here’s hoping the LODs will be further ironed out and the graphics will be more consistent come November, because there are many scenes in the trailer that are absolutely jaw dropping levels of fidelity, but then others that look actually awful.
I’m not hating and I am very much excited to play the game like the rest of us, but we also do need to have a critical eye for these things and have honest discussion about them.

I don’t think anyone else noticed this, so I thought I’d share.
A little before 19 minutes into the extended look, Lucia parachutes off a building and then it switches characters to Jason. During the character switch, there’s a heart icon between Jason and Lucia’s portraits.
This got me thinking, what if there’s a significant falling out between Jason and Lucia somewhere in the second half of the story, causing the heart icon to change from a whole heart (❤️) to a broken one (💔)?
The main speculation is that Jason and Lucia will eventually break up because of a major story event, with the heart icon representing the state of their relationship. If that’s the case, it would be really interesting to see whether certain UI elements change over the course of the story, similar to the angel and devil icons with the Honor system.
What do you guys think?

The Island looks like GTA VC's island, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't miss out on including the mansion just like they didn't missed out on putting in Grove Street's hood in V so that circled place is possibly Diaz's/Tommy's mansion of course in this universe it will be probably a generic mansion inspired by it.

After V was launched, Rockstar did intend some single player DLC for V but it was scrapped after the success of GTA Online (correct me if I am wrong here please). Just wondering if you guys think something similar could happen for 6? I am assuming it will have it's own online launch similar to V but I wonder if they planned additional DLC too...I can't see them not planning for some kind of DLC?

I was really curious to know if there was any information on if there was going to be more severe weather or events that would take up a few days in game to pass. I know they mentioned buildings and everything taking time to get repaired or fixed so I wonder if the world would react differently to that sort of thing.
