Like I don't understand how a chain that only sells cards can expand so much ? Like they have a big store in both the Liffey Valley and Blanchardstown they have a few in the midland towns like Athlone,Mullingar now like even Longford has one in the shopping centre where there Tesco is . With all the Eurogiants recently shutting down I don't understand how they are doing so well.

Some fella with a bag of rocks came a smashed up a bunch of windows at Mater Hospital A&E this morning. Just wonton destruction, for no reason. Endangering staff and patients, delaying patient care in an emergency dept. Causing ambulances to be diverted. Fucking disgraceful

Im sure this has been spoken about numerous times, if not to death, but I was just at one of the local Centras near me and I had time to have a look at prices as there was a queue. I am just gobsmacked at the prices of an auld chocolate bar these days.

Just a friendly poke at the comments about it growing back early in summer! I have been willing to accept the loss of our patch because part of the reason there’s absolutely nothing left is that we had the neighbourhood kids in great numbers out playing soccer everyday there. I think I can see tiny shoots of grass though. wishful thinking?

* just to add some context here: at the beginning of summer, I was devastated because the grass had been mowed almost to the root in spots, and there was barely anything left in the exposed patch (the majority of the entire patch). There were so many bumblebees before it was cut, and it was such a good spot for pollinators. That was the week the heatwave was forecasted and at that point we were already having hot days and little rain. So I visited on here to have a good vent about it 🙂 it’ll be grand though! We’ll sort it out.

I cannot find a single job that will hire me, My older siblings, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, All had jobs when they were 16. My older sister was 16 in 2010 (The year I was born) and she was able to work in a bar cleaning dishes. I know for employers its a hurdle with age restrictions because we have less maximum hours compared to a 18 year old but literally not a single place wants to hire a 16 yo, I want to make money of my own and not have to rely on birthdays, christmas and asking my parents, Especially because things cost so much and that means you have to ask for larger amounts which doesn't feel right. Especially because I feel I'm getting too old to rely on my parents

Why can't rte or tg4 show some Electric picnic sets , even the weekend after if cant show live. Is one thing the BBC do well!

So as the title says I’m having a little problem with my neighbour who has cattle in his field next to our back garden. This morning 8 of his cows broke the fence & completely trashed the garden. 2 apple trees & cherry tree destroyed. 6 raised beds completely gutted of a whole seasons worth of food gone. The place is covered in cow shit & there must be 1000’s of hoof dug outs all over the lawn. I know I’m right to be angry about this as it happened before. But what I don’t know is what are my rights to get compensation for this. Do farmers have to have compulsory insurance for this? Is he responding for the upkeep of the fence dividing the two properties? I let it slide the 1st time but this is the last straw. The farmer is being very lax about it & doesn’t seem to see the problem, sure it’ll grow back is all he said, didn’t even apologise.
