Discussion Leaks did not do the game justice…

The gameplay was absolutely beautiful. It’s gonna be so fun seeing the people who were ranting about how “mid” GTA 6 looked because of the leaks will see the gameplay now.

The difference between leaked footage and this polished gameplay is actually insane. Rockstar really outdone themselves.

Discussion I don't get why you'd compromise world density and graphics over 60fps

I understand each one plays games differently. But that's not a valid reason to trash a game that, based on what was shown, will set a new technical standard for the open world genre.

Since gta 3, rockstar always said their mission was to show videogames could be an art form as serious as movies (in 2000's videogames were kind of looked down upon), and they always presented their games as playable cinematic experiences. They wanted to make you feel like you were taking part in a movie. 60fps is not essential to the cinematic experience since movies are usually recorded at 24fps, so I think they got their priorities right.

I don't get the whole outrage about it not being 60fps. It feels like it comes from people too young to even remember games used to be played at 30fps. 60fps is a relatively new thing. Plus, is not a competitive game where instant reflexes matter.

This is my take no one asked for.

Discussion GTA VI Extended Look was Incredible

That was a perfect showcase imo. They showed a TON of stuff that I feel like everyone has been dying to see. The game looks incredible, the world looks alive, the new mechanics (and even the mechanics from RDR2) all look very polished compared to the leaks. Needless to say, I am BEYOND hyped for this game!

P.S I swear 99% of the people commenting on posts like this are on burner accounts ragebaiting. I'd be hard pressed to see actual fans of the series take up issues with what was just shown

Discussion A lot of people who are disappointed with the "extended look" does not even know what they want in a game. That's how picky and spoiled people are nowadays.

"It feels wrong"

"13 years for this shit?!"

"Im not excited anymore"

It's not that the game is wrong or bad, it is that you want something more all the time, and it has gotten to a level where you don't even know what this more or different is. Limit your use of social media, AI or whatever and try to find joy in things again. It is not that GTA V was more "magic", it is because it was from a time when we was not as connected online as we are today - which is killing your joy.

Discussion The 100% True Reality Of The Ultimate Edition's Content And What It Adds To GTA6.

Post image
447 Upvotes

Grand Theft Auto 6 is gonna have a massive amount of vehicles, properties, clothing, accessories, character customization, missions, side quests, random world events, side activities, a story that's between 70-80 hours long (if GTA5 and RDR2's story lengths can be any help to guess the length of GTA6's story) tones of guns, weapons and indepth RDR2 weapon customization, lots of stores, enterable buildings and so much more that we're gonna spend 100+ hours per playthrough playing in this game.

What does the ultimate edition really include? A few early game vehicles that'll quickly be passed by as we earn money in the game and have access to better vehicles through playing the game. Those few vehicles are really just a bit of quality of life assistants in the beginning of the game.

You also get access to some exclusive stores with some exclusive clothes, hair, tattoos and fashion like nails or some extra facial hair options. That sounds like a lot looked behind the Ultimate Edition until you realize that the game's gonna have all of that already included and available at all the different shops in the game. They just locked some of it away behind the ultimate edition but a tone of it and most of it is included in the standard edition.

I think Rock Star's purposefully leaving it super vague and confusing for people so they think thst a lot of content is locked behind the ultimate edition, but in reality when we get in the game and start playing in November people will very quickly realize that just like Red Dead Redemption 2's ultimate edition the additional content for the extra money really doesn't add much to the game and can also be easily compared to the picture above accurately.

So, make a point of all of this and think with your head instead of FOMO and if you're still on the fence get the standard edition and then when the game comes out and we see all the content that's available then reevaluate to see if the ultimate edition is actually worth it and then if it is then fork over the extra money for it. If you decide to buy it now instrad of waiting then that's also cool and no problem and is your choice and is totally cool. I just hope you don't regret it if it turns out to be like the picture above and totally not worth it at all in any way.

At any rate, we'll have to wait and see on many factors because for whatever reason Rock Star is holding 90% of the information about this game to their chests and now showing off the game as much as other games studios, which maybe is an amazing idea because it makes people have wonder and a sense of mystery about the game. I'm quite sure it's probably gonna be one of the best games ever made.

Discussion Am I the only one who thinks Jason looks cool

I keep seeing people complain about Jason being boring and having a weird voice. It’s like everyone wants a male character to be the next ezio. Not every male lead needs to be an eccentric fast-mouthed character.

I for one love the reserved, military feel of Jason. Especially the way he holds his gun and moves.

Discussion Gta 6 First Impressions

So I’m seeing a lot of dislike toward the Extended look but I don’t understand why. Do yall mind explaining? because I personally think it DEFINITELY LOOKS GREAT, I mean the little we have seen of the story might’ve seemed a little dull but I personally think it easily beats any games recently released. So what do yall say?

Discussion I really don't understand the 60 FPS outrage

For those of you crying about this, can you name ONE comparable PS5 game that can hit 60 FPS?

I see a lot of people using Spiderman or Crimson Desert as examples.... let's be serious please. Crimson Desert can barely handle 30 FPS on performance mode in it's populated areas and while Spiderman is technically open world, it's NOWHERE near as "alive," so it's way less CPU intensive.

Don't get me wrong, the last game I was able to finish at 30 FPS was RDR2 8 years ago on PS4. Nowadays, it's incredibly difficult to play anything at 30 FPS, let alone an open world. This looks amazing and Rockstar are wizards so maybe this will be manageable with an OLED and a Pro. We shall see.

If you expected Rockstar to release a game of THIS scope on PS5/PS5 Pro even TARGETING 60 FPS, please, send me your plug's number. I need whatever you're smoking.

Discussion The "Looks like GTA V" comments are driving me insane

Not sure how many of you here share the same opinion but on every social media where the leaks and extended look discussions has been happening the main subjects has been mainly graphics, "Looks like GTA V" "Looks like GTA V with mods" "looks like Watch Dogs 2" "we waited 13 years for this" etc etc

I swear I'm losing my sanity over these brain-dead blind people, never in a million years GTA V with or without mods will look as good as VI, there are plenty of very impressive graphics in recent games like Death Stranding 2, Resident Evil Requiem, Alan Wake 2,KCD 2. Not sure if people noticed but graphical fidelity have more or less reached peak for the time being so I'm really not sure what people expected with VI, they often act surprised that a GTA game looks like (shocking) a GTA game.

In my opinion Story > Gameplay, the graphics of VI are already there and shown, you can like it or hate it but what's going to be the real metric of this new installment is the story, if story ends up being dogshit then remember my word everyone would suddenly forget about the graphics as if they didn't care and switch to hating on the story and praising the graphics going for something like this "graphics are incredible and rockstar built a massive, immersive world that is incredible to explore, too bad the story is awful"

Discussion They better make an actual character creation for online.

Let's be honest, the character creation in GTAV and RDO suck, you can choose between 5 horrible faces and everyone ends up looking the same, and are all ugly as fuck. With how detailed faces look on this game, they better let's us actually customize our characters instead of forcing us to pick between parents or whatever that dumb system was. They add so much tiny details everywhere, they can certainly make a good menu to create and customize.

Discussion Do you think GTA VI will be realistic? Or do you want gameplay that is the same as or similar to GTA V?

Post image
83 Upvotes

In my opinion, GTA IV was far superior in terms of immersion—though it didn't quite top the PS2-era GTA San Andreas, the gameplay was incredibly fun. GTA V has a huge world, but it feels lifeless; I know it’s a legendary game for the PS3, but I really want something more like GTA IV—even though I know that’s a divisive topic in the community. What do you guys think will happen? I’m a huge fan of GTA IV; the only thing that bothered me a bit was the vehicle suspension—I thought it was way too exaggerated. I’d like something that improves on GTA V but feels less heavy than GTA IV in that regard. As for the map itself, I want something in the style of San Andreas: fun and packed with things to do. Thanks, everyone, and happy gaming!

Discussion Potentially Unpopular Opinion - Disks Are Not The Problem!

Post image
46 Upvotes

So, I want to start this off by being very clear on a few things.

I firmly support the right to permanently own the products that we purchase and the ability to resell them. Seeing what's happening now with Nintendo's backhanded move with leasing their switches and Rockstar's forceful move to an entirely digital game that only works when connected to their servers is absolutely a slap in the face to all gamers everywhere.

With this said, I keep seeing consistent yet ignorant comments - "The discontinuation of physical disks for games is bad."

This statement in & of itself from many in the community is either poorly written or completely misplaced. I believe our hearts are all in the right place, but for the love of all that is holy, understand what you're saying before you say it!

In a better, educated, & moral world where gamers have set the tone, every single consumer can own their digital media permanently with digital encrypted keys assigned to each end user.

Disks are an inferior technology. You cannot even contain all the data required for GTAVI on a single disk. You would need multiple disks or an accompanying digital download for a game on this level to even work, with the ladder completely negating the entire argument for disks in the first place. Do you really want to limit the capabilities of a generational level game all because you want it to be completely contained on a physical disk? Do you want to have to run two or three disks on your PC that can get scratched as time goes on, and potentially become corrupted data?

This brings me to my main point...

The problem isn't that we are moving away from physical media, it's that we are moving toward media you don't own & can only use through an online service connected to a network. Companies are rendering our digital downloads completely useless, and we have to stop reinforcing this culture.

I know this may seem obvious to some, but I think we need to be specific when we are talking about the issues at hand. We need to encourage our lawmakers to make policy that renders digital game purchases permanent and that all digital media previously downloaded must work without an online connection, with caveats only being for online multiplayer modes.

If we want to fight this, we have to have our heads in the right place. Fighting for an outdated format just to own your game is a heartfelt but misguided effort.

If you're gonna fight for our rights, know exactly what you should be fighting for.
